Have we wonder why?
Once in a meanwhile I love to have my off peak “Happy meal” at McDonald’s enjoying the ambience of a particular branch, just eat and chill in music(in house). Somehow, this day, I start to noticed a significant increased of table number stands around me and I start to look at the service staff, they sure did a good work clearing the orders and maintaining the outlet.
Most Fast food chains are one of the F&B establishments that started self serving in the early era where resources are abundant and customers happily accepted.
Over the years, jobs scopes and demands have changed, cost of living has risen. To meet demands and lean on operations businesses find ways to fill the gaps. Every business has different needs of their Human Resources and business structures. Businesses have to tweet to make it workable and sustainable. The corporates have wider bandwidth on resources to use to their level of functionality with innovative while the SMEs have to creatively squeezed out on innovation with their own budgets.
While human capital now affectionately used become more scarcity, we have to work towards self serve especially in space of F&B, customers are happily accepted as trend and it works.
On the another hand, the fast food giant are quietly adding a value of bringing our ordered food to our table.
Have you notice more customers are choosing food to serve? And they do also have a choice to collect from counter.
In a tight labour market, how can fast food giant like McDonald’s able to do it for every branch!
